Looks good - very clean mod and never would have pegged that as self-fabricated. Not trying to rub anyone the wrong way, but it's just not my taste. I'm a minimalist - no passenger seat, no bags, etc. But that's a nice job!!

Thanks, not considering it a rub. Everyone has their own taste and preferences, that's what's great about this forum! I'd rather get honest opinions and experience when posting!

Forgive my ignorance, but what do the extensions on the bottom of the windshield do? Keep wind off your knees? Honest question as I really don't know.

I plan on building something similar to that to put on the crash bars. I can fab lexan for 1/4 the cost of soft lowers plus they'd last longer.

Hey, it gets cold here. This time of year when I ride to work at 06:15 AM, it's in the upper 20's-lower 30's. It might be 70° for the ride home in the afternoon, but it's **** cold in the morning. Plus, I ride in other places than AZ.

Those are my version of lowers. I built them based on some plans found here on the forum. They keep some of the wind from coming up over the tank and buffeting your face/head. To me they make a huge difference in riding.

usually helps with a condition referred to as buffeting...a problem many..not all tho..experience when riding with a shield...you definitely will know if you have a shield and need to add them..I never needed them on my vol but had to get them when i went to my c90.

I'm one of the cheap people. Mittens & hand warmers. Hand warmers last 7-12 hours depending on whose you buy. Put the warmers on the back of your hands & ride for hours.

I recommend getting the upper body garment as well as the gloves. When your chest cavity starts getting cool your body will restrict blood flow to your extremities in a effort to keep your vital organs warm – that includes your hands and feet.
