Default MC Enterprise engine guard / crash bar

MC Enterprises Engine Guards for Volusia 800/C50 '01-up - 1000-24

i'm 95% sure this is the crash bar i picked up a few months ago. i picked them up used off ebay, the seller was parting out a 2003 Volusia. Does anyone on here have this particular brand of guard or one similar? i'm finally getting around to installing it and I cant find any good images of how it bolts to the lower part of the frame. i think i can see how it bolts up to the frame but i'd like to make sure without guessing. it almost seems like i am missing something to finish the install.

they're pretty straight forward. The open end goes on the bottom. Loosen the bolts, pot it on and tighten. Just look at the picture, it's pretty hard to get it on wrong. it only fits one way. Just make sure you put lock washer or some locktite as I've read that some have had the bolts come loose while riding, and that is not good!!!

There's only one bolt there to put it on. It's the forward bolt holding the foot peg and brake assembly on. Just remove the bolt and replace it thru the bar mount. there is one kust like it on the cluch side. My cobras mount on the same bolt only on the other side.

Thats the part i wasnt sure of. If they shared the bolt with the floorboards. They dont fit going on the outside of the board mounts, the only way i can get them on is the guards first up on the frame, then the boards and tighten the bolt down. Do i need a spacer or anything to make up that thickness difference from the front to the rear of the board mount?

That's how it works. no spacers. My Cobras are designed the other way with the solid bar on the bottom and the space on top. Because of that, I have to remove the bottom bolts everytime I chane the oil filter. You wont,

I would suggest fat rubber washers between the bike frame and the gaurd/brake /gear shifter. And swapping out the bolts for stainless steel, longer ones.
Less vibration. And tighten them real good. U wont need to remove them if ur changing the oil filter like cobra bars.
