I agree no need to loosen my Cobra Bars on my 07 C50T maybe it's the model. But I read on a Suzuki web site the filter is easily removed by going up. My Oil Filter goes up and out and If done carefully doesn't even spill much oil out of filter. I also have the Desert Dawgs fit my cobra bar perfectly.
They work well with rain and cooler temps.

I have the exact set up and I agree that the Desert Dawgs are great.

I get spoiled with them and find the first ride in the spring without them is a bit of a shock.

Yes, probably aluminum. You may be able to find these at a place like fastenal if they are local to you. If not you may be able to get something fabricated. Good luck

Yes. If you don't find any, just use a bunch of washers together until you reach the desired thickness.
