I keep looking at the back of my bike and thinking I need more/higher turn signals. Now I'm thinking that I could mount LEDs on either side of the sissy bar with the two bolts that hold it on and a custom bracket. I'm one to avoid reinventing the wheel, so I've done some searching to see if there is anything aftermarket that already does that, but I can't find anything. Before I start fabricating something, does anyone know of anything like this already?

You could get the car style strips from your local auto parts store. They're already wired for 12 volts and you could jack them into the turn signal wiring and slap them on. (about $20.00)
They also make a handy source of replacment LED's should you decide to ditch that boring orange colored speedo display.

Been lurking for a while. Got back into riding this year after a 30 year layoff. Learning a lot from the members on this site. I'm thinking of doing the exact same thing and found an item that may do the trick. These lights seem to have long enough mounting bolts (hollow) that may allow you to use in place of the sissy bar bolts. You could stack one above the other depending on the distance between the bolts. Tap into the existing electrical and Bob's your uncle.

I like your LED light strips but I went with this DB Trunk with lights mounted on the sissy bars Luggage rack. When I went with this they didn't have a lot of strip LED lighting options.
I wanted more visible Brake Lights so I went with a Trunk with a high mount Auxiliary brake light. Mine acts as a moving strip when I apply the brakes Cars now have a tendency to give me extra following distance when I brake. I think the LED lighted Spoiler w/ electrical module still supplies the moving HI brake light optional effect. ![]() MUTAZU Motorcycle Trunks I also added the wraparound arms to the trunk for the wife's added comfort.

I recently put some LED strip lights on my saddle bags and under my sisssy bar bag. Low cost, easy to do and it gives great visibiility from behind and the sides.
