This is a follow-up of this thread... Tail light mod...
Good news is my tail light mod turned out pretty good! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now the bad...FAILED on filling the fender holes using ABS cement. After the bike was sitting out in the sun, I noticed that the fender where I used to fill the holes started to expand and thought the paint had bubbled-up. It also felt soft to the touch. ![]() This is what it looked during painting... ![]() Ater couple hours in the sun... ![]() Now what???? This SUCK!

Try JB weld to fill the hole. It'll become hard and sandable. It should not expand or shrink.
I hope it'll works for you |

Hmmm.......
I used ABS cement on mine, but I used sheetrock screen as a backing and I filled over the area with a thin layer of bondo. Mine has held up fine. Filling those nasty holes

If it was me doing this I would be using fiberglass.
If you don't want to do a lot of sanding put a small patch of fiberglass on the inside of the fender and cut a couple of pieces to fit in the holes so there is some substance for the resin to hold on to. Fill the holes level with resin. for easy sanding and finish, a bit of bondo on top.

Fiberglass will likely work but, the fenders aren't made of fiberglass....They're made out of plastic so why not use plastic weld?

If it were mine i would just buy some of those bullet license plate holder bolts and put in those holes i think that would look pretty cool.
