A semi backed over me and my bike. Bike totaled. Bought new bike. Now I want to take the light bar off the old bike and put it on the new one. I saw one blog where the guy said someone wanted $140 to install one. Anyone know where I can get some good installation instructions or hopefully a video to do it myself? I have a '08 C90T.

What was the old bike?
The bar may not fit the new bike at all if they're not the same. If they are the same take note of how you remove it so you can install it on the new bike.

The old one is a 2005 C90T. It has mega after-market parts. Most are still good.
If there's something weird here it's because I tried to insert a photo but it asked me for an http// path to the photo and I don't have one so I directed it using the path on my file manager. |

Also, it should be a specific formatted photo, such as jpg, gif, etc.

Sorry to hear that Trucker backed into your bike and glad he paid you for replacement bike I wish the lady who hit my bike give me enough cash to buy me a new bike as well. ![]() As if I were you, I don't need installation picture. I would study it first then remove nuts and bolts one at a time and lay it in organized way so I would know which to put it back on new bike. To be honest with you, It's never hard to do it. I bet it'll take two main bolts that holds headlight on fork frame also secured light bars as well. Be sure to draw diagram and color of wires so you will know where to reconnect it to new bike. It's not like removing 20+ bolts off the laptop before you crack open its shell. Get it? I have tendency of being bold to tear things apart without instruction and figure out a way to put it back together.

) that it helps me to have pics of what it looked like while it was together when I want to put it back after I take it apart.I just use my cell phone and snap pics as big things come off, so I can see what order things were in. Happy wrenching!

Great suggestions, all of you. I lucked out and found a guy to do it for me. Cheap!
When I get my 2008 C90T done I'll post a picture. Right now it's stock two-tone, gold and white. In a few weeks it'll be pearlescent white with red, white, and blue stars and flames on the tank and fenders, an eagle wrapped in an American flag above the brake light. It's already chromed out and has a lot of after-market parts but when that paint job is done...oh baby! I'll be Capt. America. You guys are great for support and answers. Keep the shiney side up! |
