Gutted pipes

Hi all, has anyone on here gutted there standard pipes and fitted db killers? like the idea of glass packs but reckon they would cover over and stop the o2 sensor from working on fuel injected models. Plus the packs are quite expensive here in the Uk so db killer would be a cheaper option any ideas? thanks.
