Default Fiamm car horns instead of Stebel under right side cover

I got these at a car parts store and fit them under my right side cover
I didn't want the stebel, it was tight but with a bit of patience and bending the brakets that came with the horn it all worked well
It's very loud and cost me $30 Canadian

How loud are they? My Stebel is pretty loud but if I could mount a diesel train horn on the bike I would.

I have had mine there for over 6 years now without any problems. Make sure to get the High and the Low horns. They are plenty loud, even with the cover on.

Yup I put a Fiamm highway blaster low-tone there two years ago to complement the stock horn and its good and loud, definitely gets attention when I need to use it. On some of the many threads about horns I posted a link to a webpage where tests were made of the leading horns. I've lost the link now but its there if you want to compare the different types of horns. I remember the tests yielded some surprising results.

So can you just tie into the existing horn wire or is a relay still needed?

Nice install BTW!

They are as loud as on a car and same as my buddy's gl1800 and they don't get muffuled much since the other side of that cover is open.
If I post a pic with the cover on you won't see anything

Cheers

I was planning on a stebel so had already installed a relay and took the power from there, for that reason I don't know if you could take it direct from the existing horn wires(used those to trigger the relay)

It's different from everyone out here! and that's what I was aiming for
