Default How hard to install chrome aprons?

I'm thinking of removing the drab black plastic aprons just under the front of the gas tank and replacing them with the chromed ones. How hard should this be? Do they just come off and the new ones snap on or do I need to remove the gas tank or do any other more difficult things?

I believe your talking about the neck covers. They come of and on easy. Just a couple of molded plugs on the back that push through some rubber grommets.

One of them also has a tab. It will be the one that doesn't pop off easily, don't remember which one.
Don't ask me how I know

Forgot about that tab!
I think it's the right side on top.
I usually pull the side out and then lift or push up to get them off.

If I recall right you have to slip the tank back a bit if you have Cobra bars installed.
