Default Shark Stereo System Finally Installed ...

I finally installed the Shark stereo system on my wife's C50. It was an easy install, I put the amp in the toolbox like everyone else.

The hardest part was deciding where to put the speakers. I wanted to mount the speakers so that it looked balanced with the rest of the bike. Most of the handlebar clamps I've seen look flimsy and cheesy so I used 1" Kury Magnum Quick Clamps.

The clamps are a little pricey at 40 bucks, but worth it in my opinion.

These chrome clamps look really nice and they're very sturdy. These speakers aren't going anywhere.

I mounted the wired remote in between the risers. I put it there because she'll only ever use it to turn the amp on and off. She doesn't plan on using the radio function very much, most of the time it will be connected to her mp3 player.

I bought this 2gb MP3 player for 10 bucks and mounted it close to the turn signal controls using 3M velcro ... this way she can change music tracks and adjust the volume without taking her hands off the handlebar.

Summergirl and her husband have them on there Vol and Harley they sounded great. I am installing the same system this weekend on my Vstar. Value outfitters offer a wireless remote if you are running a iPod or iPhone that can be mounted near the turn signals so the iPod/iPhone can be connection can be located in the saddle bag or where ever else you want. They have installed a power outlet as well on Summergirls bike to ensure she never runs out of road tunes. hopefull my install goes smoothly as well.

I have this on mine and it sounds great! One of the best mods that you can do.
