Hi, I'm looking to install a horizontal side-mount license plate and I need to know what size the rear axle is? The mount I'm looking at says it is for 3/4 inch axles. Thanks mucho, and sorry to bug you wrench heads with a question I should know, lol.

The hole in the brake plate is roughly 11/16". If the bracket is pre-drilled for 3/4" it would have aproximately 1/16" play in the bracket where the shaft went though it. Is that what you were looking for?

Heck, what is the answer and where did you find it? Is the 11/16" correct?

I used the bolt on the left side above the axle for my side mount license plate.
