So I copied Sisco's pics above and completed my first mod (if you don't count windshields). Thanks for the great ideas!
I siliconed the button and heatshrinked the connectors. I like having extra wire for that "you never expected it" situation. ![]() Close Up, having cleaned it yet ![]() Further out.

Sisco's mettalic switch complements the bike. I've checked out every Radio Shack around here...no finds. I'm keeping my eyes open in the Los Angeles County.

I 'm getting ready to install a remote on our new bike today, so I had to dredge MY thread back up so I could remember what I did.

I did the mod a while back and it works great. Only problem is the housing development I live in has hundreds of houses with only dozens of freqs available for the garage doors. So some repeat. If I drive around my neighborhood with my high beams on I open about every couple garages I pass lol
